To Whom It May Concern:

Idea:
Hi, Wei Boon here. I am 06 batch CHHS graduate and current NUS year 2 student. I would like to organize a sharing session between current CHHS (08 batch) graduates and other batches of CHHS graduates ( not only those who further their studies to Singapore, but also at Malaysia or Taiwan which are 3 main countries that CHHS graduates are going to.)

Disclaimer:
This sharing session is not aimed to advertise for any Universities or Colleges. It is not an education exhibition. It doesn’t promote any countries’ education. It only provides a platform for graduates of each batch to have an opportunity to share self experience with each other after graduation. It also provides a good chance for current graduates who are planning for their future career paths but without much reliable information and senior guidance and still feel confused with their future plans.

Objective:
Sharing session means juniors graduates can know seniors, who don’t ever know before, but corresponding seniors study at some colleges or University which juniors are interested in. At that moment, junior can get contact info of seniors (like hp numbers, emails) then it is convenient for juniors to ask for any deeper reliable details about, and arrange any visit to , interested college or University.

Proposed Time:
It is proposed to be around the period of announcement of UEC result of 08 batch of graduates, mid of DEC 08. However, it is difficult to arrange various batches of various colleges and University to be attended at the same specific time. For example, most of Taiwan students will only come back to Malaysia around Chinese New year. Also, time of many students of Singapore Universities is constrained by prearranged activities.

Final Objective:
My idea is that let as many current CHHS graduates as we can to keep touch with senior graduates. Life is always ridden with uncertainties and challenges. So, why don’t get some guidance or advice from seniors who had more living experience, and smooth our forward paths? Ultimately, form a strong bond between senior and junior graduates even they had graduated from CHHS. What’s more, it is a good chance for seniors to have a gathering.
Preparation:
For CHHS authority,
Your support for abovementioned event is highly required.
The way you can support:
1) Offer school facilities for the abovementioned event, like theatre of level 5 or air-conditional rooms and amplifying sound system.
2) Publicize the abovementioned event to every graduate that come to school and ask for their responses towards abovementioned event.
3) Planning for a similar sharing session for next year senior 3 students.

For senior graduates:
I think senior graduates can only start to prepare for this event after their final exams are ended. So, please reply if you would like to support the abovementioned event. Any contribution will be much appreciated even though you cannot be present personally at that sharing session, like doing researching on information related to your school’s accommodation, courses and studying environments. You can also do publicity and help to disseminate this idea for your batch or every senior graduate and junior graduate you know with your powerful network! One person in charge from each university or college is definitely needed. Thus, please be voluntary to contribute for this meaningful event!

Of course, we need fully supports from our side, current graduates and CHHS authorities then this event can only be successfully organized. So, being senior, I personally think we should take initiatives to show our willingness and, undeniably, that’s a good way that we can contribute back to CHHS rather than giving financing assistance after 30 or 40 years.

For Singapore school’s students:
I would like to have a meeting with all of u after your finals. Any ideas and any improvements on arrangement of this activity are definitely needed from your guys!

Your support for this event is decisive factor for this event.
So, please do publicity for this event and disseminate my idea to your friend and ask how many people of your class can support this event. So,I need representatives from each class. Please reply me your name, class of senior 3, how many people of your previous class can attend. It is better if you can prepare an excel file with all interested participants’ details since now is your most free time. Also, please also list out which college that your previous classmates and you are interested in so that I can try to find any senior graduates from that corresponding colleges to be present for sharing session. You are expected to be prepared before you attend this event, like do some light researches on corresponding interested colleges or university. More on studying life in corresponding college can only be shared by senior graduates with you as they cannot confirm everything about academic part with you since the course structure for each year is subject to change.
